Two police searches ongoing in South, East Austin

Two different police searches are ongoing in Austin, one after a reported burglary in East Austin and another after a man fled from police in South Austin, police said.

Police in South Austin went to the 7100 block of Bluff Springs Road to serve a search warrant, and a man ran away when they did around 3:40 p.m., Austin police said.

Then, a home was reported burglarized around 4:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of Tom Miller Street in East Austin, Austin police said.

Helicopters may be in both these areas as police attempt to find these two people.
