Police seeking suspect after Austin Central Library vandalized


Austin police are seeking a man they say is a suspect in an incident in which spray painted graffiti was found on the cafe windows at the newly opened Austin Central Library.

The vandalism, which caused $1,178 in damages, happened around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 28 when the suspect arrived at the library blanketed in a white bed comforter, police said. 

He was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt, tan khaki shorts and black sneakers. He was also carrying a red or pink backpack, police said.
