Pedestrian seriously injured after hit by car in South Austin

A man in his 30s was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries Saturday after being hit by a car while walking in South Austin.

A vehicle had driven over the pedestrian about 2:07 p.m. in the 4300 block of Bremner Drive — just off of West Slaughter Lane and about a half-mile east of MoPac Boulevard (Loop 1) — while traveling at a low speed, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said. However, the man’s injuries were serious, EMS Capt. Darren Noak said.

The crash remains under investigation and EMS had no further information.
