Pedestrian jumped in front of bus on Congress Avenue, witnesses say


A man in his 30s was hit by a bus Friday evening on Congress Avenue, just north of Lady Bird Lake, EMS officials said.

According to witnesses, the man jumped in front of the bus, Austin police said.

Medics took the man to the hospital with injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said. The incident was reported at 7:53 p.m.
