2:46 p.m. update: Austin school district officials said no weapon was found on the LBJ High School campus after a roughly 30-minute lockdown on Thursday.

2:20 p.m. update: LBJ High School lifted the lockdown at the Northeast Austin campus at 2:12 p.m. Thursday, Austin school district officials said.

Earlier: A report of a gun on the campus of LBJ Early College High School in Northeast Austin prompted officials to place the school on lockdown Thursday afternoon, the Austin school district said.

The campus was placed on lockdown at 1:43 p.m. after officials received the report of the weapon.

Austin ISD police were still investigating the campus, which is also home to the Liberal Arts and Science Academy.

School officials had put LBJ High School on brief lockdowns last week after Austin police received a 911 call each day about a suspicious person with a weapon being near the school.

Police did not find anyone in the area either time, said Cristina Nguyen, Austin school district spokeswoman.
