Man in critical condition after Northeast Austin shooting


Austin police were searching for a gunman after a shooting early Thursday in Northeast Austin left one man critically injured. 

Police received the first report of the shooting in the 3100 block of Lynridge Drive around 5:30 a.m. in the University Hills neighborhood, when a person called 911 to report hearing gunshots and the critically injured man turning up at the caller’s door, authorities said.  

Austin-Travis County EMS medics rushed the wounded man to Dell Seton Medical Center downtown.
