JUST IN: Blanco M.S. counselor accused of having improper relationship with student

A Blanco Middle School counselor has been accused by authorities of having an improper relationship with a student, the Blanco school district said in a message to parents late Tuesday.

The district said the counselor, Lisa Rogers, was arrested as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

“We want to assure you that the safety and well-being of all of our students remain our highest priority,” the message said.

The district said it was providing counseling services to students on our high school and middle school campuses.

But the district declined to provide any other details.

“Due to the sensitive nature of the allegations and the need to be vigilant in protecting student privacy, there is no further information the district can share regarding this matter.”
