HITTING THE BRAKES: Austin to delay releasing next draft of CodeNext


Heeding the calls for more time to incorporate public feedback into the overhaul of the city’s land development regulations, Austin officials on Thursday announced a two-and-a-half month delay in releasing the next draft of CodeNext.

Staffers originally planned to release the third draft of CodeNext on Nov. 28, after reviewing the comments submitted on the second draft that came out in mid-September.

Now that third draft will come out by Feb. 12, interim Assistant City Manager Joe Pantalion wrote in a Thursday memo.
