Technical issue causing 911 outage for  AT&T wireless customers in Caldwell County


Caldwell County residents who rely on AT&T for their cell phone service aren’t able to dial 911 Friday morning because of a technical issue at the phone company, authorities said. 

“AT&T teams are engaged and working to fully isolate and resolve the issue,” the company told emergency authorities there, according to a statement posted on a county government Facebook page. “The specific cause of the service outage has not yet been determined.” 

Until it’s fixed, residents can use the following numbers to contact emergency dispatchers: 512-398-6747 for Caldwell County; 512-398-4401 for Lockhart; and 830-875-2411 for Luling.
