Driver hits, kills elderly pedestrian on RM 620, west of I-35, police say


A driver hit and killed an elderly male pedestrian on RM 620, just west of I-35, Thursday night, Round Rock police officials said.

As of 10:30 p.m., westbound RM 620 was still closed while police investigated the incident, said Nick Olivier, police spokesman.

Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. to RM 620 and Briarwood Street, Olivier said. The pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver stopped and stayed at the scene, Olivier said.
