Todd A. Buikema, 56
In 2007 my wife gave me the book “Younger Next Year.” The doctor and author prescribed working out for an hour a day, for the rest of your life. The weekly program I follow includes weight lifting twice, intense cardio twice and a hard walk two or three times a week. I like the day-to-day variation and especially that my wife and I exercise together. We’re fortunate to live in Lakeway, where we walk the Hamilton Greenbelt and use the excellent facilities at World of Tennis. Being an engineer, I track my workouts in a spreadsheet that dates back to 2008. I have exercised more than six days out of seven since then. Now that I’ve retired, I also play tennis two or three times a week and golf, too.
