Frances Gibich, 77
I’ve exercised all my life — chopped and picked cotton, planted and harvested two gardens a year and walked a half mile to and from the school bus. At school I played baseball, volleyball and cheered on the pep squad. I have done yoga, Jazzercise and walking. I jogged for two years, then returned to walking and added tai chi. Today I walk three miles in 45 minutes, balancing on the curb for 232 feet, and attend the Y three to five days a week for the Active Older Adults Strength, Aqua Cardio, Cardio Plus Balance and Stretch classes. I still have a flower garden. I am a young 77 and planning to live to 100!
