Her nimble hands are wrinkled from years of painting intricate patterns that adorn the body, while her eyes remain focused on the empty spaces she has yet to fill. No two patterns can ever be the same; instead, Anju Garg lets the pattern flow in whichever direction her mind takes her.
“My best work has always been when people just tell me to do one thing and then they let me take over the rest of it,” Garg said of her henna tattoo business, Mehndi Time. “It’s when people throw in this and that when it messes up the flow.”
