Big tours stop in Austin throughout the month: Jim James, Diana Krall, Yo La Tengo, Dave Matthews, Method Man and Redman, Taylor Swift, Hall and Oates, and Jimmy Buffett all perform. Paul McCartney’s two sold-out nights at the Erwin Center, however, received the most attention when announced a month ago. The former Beatle has never played in Austin, and it’s the only Texas stop on his current “Out There” tour, which promises three hours of the hits.
Non-Macca fans and those unable to go still have plenty of shows, including the annual Pachanga Latino Music Festival, which welcomes headliner Los Lobos, and Chaos in Tejas, which brings British punk legends the Damned and more to town Memorial Day weekend.
