Austin’s music world received something of a report card last week when advocacy group Austin Music People released a 21-page white paper, “The State of The Austin Music Industry,” which highlights actions that the organization has been involved with and outlines goals for the future.
Last week, the night before the release of the paper on Tuesday, a group that included AMP director Jennifer Houlihan, Council Member Mike Martinez and Police Chief Art Acevedo gathered at KLRU’s Studio 6A to discuss the report.
