It probably goes without saying but “The Heat” is low comedy. Veeeerry looooooow. Not quite barrel scraping, but man, does it get close.
Which isn’t to say it is entirely without merit, but when it’s a movie from the director and one star of the sometimes sweet and often hysterical (and admittedly low) “Bridesmaids,” there are expectations.
