The South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival will host daily keynote sessions at the 2014 event, organizers announced this week. Filmmaker and actress Lena Dunham, who screened her first two feature films and the first three episodes of her breakout HBO hit “Girls” at SXSW, will serve as one of the keynote speakers.
Joining Dunham on the list of speakers are Jason Blum, whose Blumhouse productions has had huge financial success with small-budget horrors like “Insidious” and “The Purge,” and Casey Neistat, writer, director, editor and star of the series “The Neistat Brothers” on HBO and winner of the John Cassavetes Award at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards for producing the film “Daddy Long Legs.” The keynote speaker sessions will face no counter-programming at the festival and will take place at 11 a.m. March 8-11.
