Author Mark Pryor lives in Austin but stages his mystery novels in a far-off place: the streets of Paris. His latest, “The Crypt Thief,” was released Tuesday, and he will sign copies at a May 19 speaking event at BookPeople on North Lamar Boulevard.
His protagonist, Hugo Marston, head of security at the U.S. Embassy in France, returns for another adventure pursuing murderers and body-snatchers after the first Marston novel, “The Bookseller,” captivated readers and brought Paris to life.
