For David Wingo, the release of one album is not enough — his band, Ola Podrida, published a new set of songs just seven days after a soundtrack he scored for the movie “Mud” hit stores and online sites.
The back-to-back albums and the tour that will launch “Ghosts Go Blind,” Ola Podrida’s live-recorded indie-rock effort, herald his rising success as both a soundtrack scorer and lead singer of an Austin-based band. He says he’s happy with his career turn and is ready to stay in town and not continue the slightly nomadic lifestyle that defined the early part of the past decade.
