For choreographer Julie Nathanielsz, it’s about getting back to basics, about remembering where movement comes from, about the simple sensory perceptions that occur when the body moves, remembering what it’s like to move the body to music.
That impulse led to “What is Common,” a sleek, abstract modern dance piece for three dancers that Nathanielsz will present this weekend.
