“Erin Curtis: Furthest West.” Austin artist Erin Curtis merges her interests in traditional craft and textiles with modernist architecture and furniture to create a colorful, painterly installation in the Gatehouse Gallery at Laguna Gloria. Outside the gallery, Curtis has installed colorful clay brick sculptures and cloth banners along a pathway. Inside, she has installed a large, double-sided painting that bears allusions to textile traditions from around the world. Open: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays. Exhibit continues through Jan. 5. The Contemporary Austin, Laguna Gloria, 3809 W. 35th St. $3-$5. 512-458-8191, www.thecontemporaryaustin.org.
