2 dead, 2 injured in crash on Texas 71 in western Travis Co.


Two people were killed and at least two others were injured on Monday morning in a crash on Texas 71 in western Travis County.

Austin-Travis County EMS crews were called out to the wreck on the highway near Fall Creek Road just southeast of Spicewood around 8:20 a.m.

Two people are being flown to an area hospital for treatment.

According to initial reports, at least one vehicle was involved with as many as three victims.

When they arrived, they found one person dead and two others who had suffered trauma.
