UT stabbing suspect Kendrex White indicted for murder, new charges


University of Texas stabbing suspect Kendrex White was indicted Monday for murder in a May 1 campus incident that left one student dead and three others injured, according to Mindy Montford of the Travis County district attorney’s office.

A grand jury concluded there is sufficient evidence to proceed in the case. White was charged with three new counts of aggravated assault.

Grand jury proceedings are closed to the public.

White, 21, is accused of killing 19 -year-old Harrison Brown.

White is scheduled to appear in court on Friday for a status hearing. He is being kept in jail on $1 million bail.
