Report of armed carjacking in Austin investigated by police


Austin police are investigating a reported armed carjacking, where there were reports of possible gunshots being fired, according to police.

Officers responded to the area of Decker and Loyola lanes around 3:10 a.m. after receiving a report of a disturbance involving a gun, police said.

During the disturbance there were reports that gunshots may have been fired and a vehicle may have also been taken during the reported crime, Austin police said.

There were no reports of anyone being injured during the incident.
