Man arrested in stabbing death of woman in eastern Travis County


A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found stabbed to death in a home in eastern Travis County early Saturday.

Deputies at 1:45 a.m. responded to a 911 call at a home in the 4600 block of Sojourner Street in the Hornsby Bend neighborhood officials said. When deputies arrived, they found a woman who had been stabbed and arrested 51-year-old Robert Degollado, who was found inside the home.

Officials on Saturday booked Degollado into the Travis County Jail on a charge of murder. District Judge Brown set bail for Degollado at $500,000.

Authoritites are not releasing the identity of the woman until officials notify her next of kin.
