Twin Liquors executives say they’re unsure why state and federal law enforcement agencies are investigating the Austin-based company, but they insist the area’s largest liquor retailer has nothing to hide and is “cooperating fully” with authorities.
The FBI, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission spent hours Tuesday combing through documents at the Twin Liquors corporate headquarters at 5639 Airport Blvd., near Highland Mall in North Austin.
