Temple-based Scott & White Healthcare said Monday that its previously announced merger with the Baylor Health Care System has become final.
The deal creates the largest nonprofit health system in the state with hospitals and clinics in North and Central Texas, including Williamson County, and $8.3 billion in combined assets, said Robert Pryor, former president and chief executive officer of Scott & White Healthcare. Pryor becomes president, chief operating officer and chief medical officer of the new combined entity, which will be called Baylor Scott & White Health.
