Buoyed by a strong rebound in retail sales, growth in the Texas service sector accelerated during May, according a report released Wednesday by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
The state revenue index, which tracks private service-sector conditions across the state, rose to a reading of 11.8 in May from 6.1 the prior month, according to the Texas Service Sector Outlook Survey.
