Gov. Rick Perry has named his former chief of staff Brandy Marty as the third member of the Texas Public Utility Commission.
Marty, who has worked for Perry in several capacities since 2007, is expected to be the tie-breaker vote on how the state is going to address the reliability of electricity supplies and its impact on wholesale electricity revenues.
