A Delaware judge dealt a setback Friday to activist investor Carl Icahn and his attempt to derail the proposed buyout of Dell Inc.
Icahn had asked the court for an expedited hearing of his lawsuit against the Dell Inc. board of directors, which — among other things — asks the court to reset the rules for the buyout. The suit accuses the Dell Inc. board of breach of its fiduciary duties in handling the buyout proposed by company founder Michael Dell and his financial ally, Silver Lake Partners.
