The doctor-owned Austin Surgical Hospital, which has been millions in the red for years, has been acquired by a group that plans to stop doing cosmetic plastic surgery and instead branch into other surgical specialties.
Arise Healthcare, which is made up of physicians and health administrators, acquired the 23-bed Rollingwood hospital from its corporate owner, Tennessee-based Symbion Inc., for an undisclosed amount.
