A prominent landmark at a well-traveled Central Austin intersection is history, demolished to make way for a new mixed-use development.
Now that crews have razed the site of the former RunTex store at 422 W. Riverside Drive, work is set to begin immediately on a six-story building that will have about 200 apartments atop ground-floor retail space, according to Brandon Easterling, managing director for the developer, Alliance Residential.
