The company that led a multimillion-dollar remodel of the Austin Music Hall has filed for bankruptcy, claiming it has no assets and more than $3.5 million in debts after a lender foreclosed on the live music venue last year.
In a Chapter 7 filing made this month in federal bankruptcy court, Direct Events president Tim O’Connor lists a host of creditors and says his business had zero revenue in 2012 and so far in 2013.
