Valence Technology Inc. would go private and be controlled by founder and long-time backer Carl Berg under the terms of a bankruptcy reorganization plan the company filed this week.
The proposal, which would have to be approved by creditors, would eliminate all equity interests in Valence, rendering its outstanding stock worthless and leaving shareholders with no stake in the reorganized lithium-ion battery company.
