Six years ago, as the recession and ensuing credit crunch tightened its grip on the nation, I wrote about how the downturn was slowing sales in downtown Austin’s heretofore booming condo market.
The recession came and went. In the past three years, a recovering economy has given way to a flood of apartment development in Central Texas, with thousands of new units newly opened, under construction or in the planning pipeline.
