Justin Theroux donates $10,000 to Austin Pets Alive! on Ellen Show


Justin Theroux has a special place in his heart for an Austin nonprofit.

The star of HBO’s “The Leftovers” recently went on The Ellen Show to play the game “Hot Hands.” If Theroux won the game, host Ellen Degeneres explained, he would win $10,000 to the charity of his choice: Austin Pets Alive!

“Austin Pets Alive! [is] a wonderful organization in Austin, Texas that’s a no-kill shelter that I love and I used to go and pet their dogs when I was shooting in Austin, and they are great,” Theroux said on the show.

The actor and husband to Jennifer Aniston frequents Austin while filming his HBO show, and he even fell in love with a 12-year-old pit bull named Izzy at APA! last year.
