SHOPPING: Three trunk shows coming to ByGeorge in May

ByGeorge is hosting three big trunk shows in May.

Celebrate summer coming with Brazilian sarong and scarf designer Vanda Jacintho and sunglass designer Illesteva 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 6. You’ll learn different ways to tie Jacintho’s sarongs and scarves at the South Congress Store, but both stores will showcase the designers.

Jeweler Monique Péan will show her latest line 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 10 and 11 at the North Lamar Boulevard store. Péan uses fossilized walrus ivory and fossilized dinosaur bone in her designs.

A representative of Brunello Cucinelli is coming to ByGeorge’s Men’s Shop in the North Lamar Boulevard store 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 11 and 12. You’ll get to see about 100 pieces from the fall line including outwear, vests, sport coats, trousers and shoes. The collection is inspired by the Umbria countryside of Italy. You’ll be able to preorder designs in your choice of color, fabrics and sizes.

ByGeorge, 524 N. Lamar Blvd. at West 6th Street and 1400 S. Congress Ave. bygeorgeaustin.com
