“My dear friends, I need to share some devastating news with you. In the early morning hours, Tuesday, October 3, my son, Zachariah, took his life,” she wrote on Facebook on Oct. 7.

On Thursday, she shared some family photos alongside a tribute to Zack. She began the post with a quote by Mary Jean Irion before thanking her fans for their love and support.

“There will not be another ‘normal day’ with my Zack-Attack, at least not in this life time [sic]. No more cooking his favorite foods or bringing home gallons of his favorite juice, no more laughter around the bon fire [sic] or Christmas mornings. My heart is struggling to continue to beat,” she wrote. “Thank you for your prayers, love and support. Please pray for his grandparents, his siblings, his dad and his friends. We are all doing our best to focus on his joyful heart, his wild free spirit and his smile.”

A simple Beaujolais sauce glazes chicken for a special meal at this holiday time of year. You can use the same wine in the recipe that you are drinking. If not, use any dry red wine you have on hand. I often use red wine left over from a previous evening for sauces. The recipe calls for raising and lowering the heat to make the sauce. If you have electric...
Name that chateau
Name that chateau

All I ever wanted for Christmas was my own chateau. That's not in the cards this year, so I just opted for the next best thing. I went to the Chateau Souverain website and designed a custom Chateau Whitley label to place on my bottle of Chateau Souverain Chardonnay.  I chose the chardonnay ($13.99 a bottle) because it's my idea of a good white...

But some of us still have an appetite for historical context. In this book, which is as thick as a double-cut pork chop, the author sees trade in sugar...
