Mayor Adler gives Bob Weir the key to the city ahead of ACL Live shows

Bob Weir, founding member of the Grateful Dead, now has the keys to Austin.

Mayor Steve Adler presented Weir with the key to the city at soundcheck ahead of his show at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater Saturday night, Adler announced on Twitter.

According to the tweet, Adler and Weir also discussed the musician’s “Vote Local” initiative. Weir advocates for HeadCount.org, a nonprofit which holds voter registration drives at concerts to encourage young people to vote.

Weir is playing with his Campfire Band, which consists of musicians from the National, on Saturday and Sunday night at ACL Live.

It is cooked on the bone and generally is moist and flavorful. There are many brands of roasted chicken breast that are boned, skinned and cut ready...

Way too “Game of Thrones.” The Italian dessert is supposed to serve up contrast: hot and cold, sweet and bitter, vanilla and espresso. But the hot shot melts the cold scoop...
