Disney Store focus of online anger for Maui costume

The Disney Store is coming under fire over a new costume inspired by the mouse house's upcoming movie "Moana."

The store has introduced a costume for kids that will allow children to dress up as the character Maui.

The problem, as many see it, is that the costume sports Polynesian tribal tattoos on cloth that is representative of brown skin, The Washington Post reported

Many on social media say the costume is offensive.

Neither Disney, nor Dwayne Johnson, who portrays the character of Maui in "Moana," have responded, the Post reported.

In Chengdu, finding peace in parks and heat in cuisine

“Now, that bear is definitely not white,” said the Dutch tourist next to me. The giant panda turned in our direction at that moment and let out some kind of loud sneeze or snort as if to say, “Give me a break, pal.” It was raining and muddy, after all, and even slightly smudged, the panda bears at the Chengdu Research Base of...

Best Bites: Cheez-It Sriracha Snack Mix

Everything tastes better with sriracha. The Cheez-It folks decided to spice up their snack mix — crispy toast, Chex-like corn squares, Cheeto-like crunchy curls and plenty of Cheez-It crackers — with a dose of powdered sriracha (a sauce made from chili peppers, garlic and sugar). How hot is it? People who like hot food said it was not very...
