Austin’s Sandra Bullock to star as Wendy Davis in new movie ‘Let Her Speak’

How long can Sandra Bullock stand? With a pair of pink sneakers on her feet hopefully just as long former Texas Sen. Wendy Davis.

Variety reports that the actress and Austinite landed the role of Davis in an upcoming movie “Let Her Speak” about the senator’s memorable 2013 filibuster. Davis’ 11 hour filibuster is credited with stalling an anti-abortion bill in the Texas Legislature.

The script was written by Mario Correa and, according to Deadline, is being produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch.

No word yet on an expected release date.
